As some of you my know, Zack had a bit of an accident skiing last week. Skiing has not been good to him. He tore his ACL, and fractured his tibia in 2 places. Needless to say he has to have surgery to put things back together. He will have to have a tendon grafted out of his hamstring and put in to support his ACL.
Zack's mom Cindy made a trip to Rexburg for a week to help him through the whole ordeal. I wasn't able to make it up there, so I am very grateful she is there to take care of him. I am sure she is enjoying spending time with him through this process even though it is stressful at times.
The recovery from an ACL takes a good 3-4 months, if not more. So skiing and other athletic activities will have to be put on hold. The greatest hope is that he will be able to still do well in school, so far his teachers have been very understanding even having to miss so much in his classes. We all pray that he will be able to have a full recovery soon.

So when is his surgery? I thought it was going to be yesterday (Friday)
but I never heard anything more about it.
Zack, you are in our prayers for a speedy recovery.
His surgery will be tomorrow. (Monday)They wanted his bone to heal a little more before the operation.
Thank you for all the prayer
I sure hope and pray the all went well today for the surgery and that Zack is up and running again soon. I guess he's gonna have to rethink his career as a snowboarder or skier AND your participation in church basketball! Perhaps you could take up golfing or swimming, those seem to result in less injuries... Hmmm is there a Wii skiing game for future thrills?
man i remember how bad he was after just having his wisdom teeth removed. good luck!
