wedding dress

Well the intention was to wear a wedding dress of a very dear friend, Lynn Nichols, who with her husband Mike, have been great parental figures in my life. The dress is beautiful and it fits perfectly, however due to it being a temple wedding and how things have change in the last 50 years, the neck line is a bit wide for the current temple standards.
I am so grateful to the Nichols for offering to let me wear such an important and amazing dress. As you can see I was very excited to have it on.
Many of you know how stressful weddings can be and how brides have a few melt downs before it is all over. Well that moment was a bit of a melt down for me. The realization of having to find another dress. If I were in a place with a lot of temple ready options, I probably would not have been as stressed but this left me to resorting to the computer searching. I had heard of a few people recently that had had great success with their endeavors and so I was bound and determined to do the same. After many pages of disappointment and discouragement I was able to find, THE DRESS! It was for a reasonable price and minimal alterations. The dress has not gotten to me yet but I look at pictures of it every day and think about it all the other minutes of the day. I am anxious for the day of it's arrival.
