It has been 3 years sense we have spent a valentines day together. We were well over due. That and we didn't want to have to wait until April to see each other again. Due to the long weekend, I decided to look up prices for plane tickets. I found one I could afford and got it.
I flew in on Thursday the 11th. Most of the weekend included doctors appointments and movies. There is not too much that we can do with Zack's bum leg. We did however get out a couple of times, those trips however, couldn't last too long because we didn't want to put too much stress on his leg.
It was so nice to be able to see him again. He gives the best hugs and I have really been missing them for the last month and a half. It was great to be able to get some wedding stuff done together and talk about life and plans. Friday night we went bowling with some friends and took a tour of our soon to be apartment in John's basement. We both really like it and are so grateful that we can be so close to family and be able to help out when their baby number two comes. Saturday we made foil dinners and went to the park for a bonfire. We continued the family tradition of dinner Sunday's at John and Heather's house. Alex made us some amazing Italian food and Heather made home made apple pie. It was the best valentines dinner ever.
Monday was an expensive day. We just visited Peter's little family and Rodney for a few hours while the Passport got new spark-plugs and a few injector thing fixed. She was having a lot of trouble starting and staying on. As you well know, car repairs are not cheap but we were happy to get it taken care of now instead of later when we don't have any money. We noticed the difference as soon as we picked her up. She is running perfectly and we are hoping that she will not have any more problems for a while. We figure we have replaced almost everything now so it is like having a new car again. Right?
It was also a lot of fun to get to see some of my old room mates and Friends in Rexburg while I was there. I stayed with them each night and needless to say we didn't sleep much because it was just like old times again talking until crazy hours of the night. It was so great to catch up on things and talk about life. Emails are great but don't measure up to girls nights.
It was hard to say good bye at the end of the trip on Tuesday the16th but it was nice knowing that it would only be 6 more weeks before we would be together again and then get married 2 weeks after that. The time does go by faster it seems when it is split apart like that.
It was really a great break from life and so great to get to be there with him again. I did notice that I have been climatized to the Arizona weather. I was SO cold in Idaho the whole weekend. When I got back it was 70 degrees here and I was loving it. I will just have to get used to the cold again I guess.
It wasn't until after I got back that I realized the only pictures I took this trip were of Zack's leg. I am normally better about that but I am sorry I don't have any pictures but it was a fun trip non the less.
