Trip to Portland

Do to the fact that we have not been employed while in school, we were running low on finances and no one seemed to want to hire us. With the end of the month coming and bills to pay in August we decided we needed to do something big in order to meet our deadlines. We had done interviews with Frontier Pies a week prier and were waiting for call backs Monday morning. In the mean time we decided to call Zack's Dad, Russ, in Portland to see if there was any extra work for Donkin Construction that he could help with for a week.
L0ng story short, Sunday night Russ informed us of open work. Monday 8am we called the restaurant. We got the jobs but will start Thursday the 5th of August. 9 am Zack made a trip to the hospital to ask for the week off of volunteering. Everything was in order and we left Rexburg Monday 10:30am.
It was literally a quick trip. I called my parents on our way out of Rexburg.
Zack has worked long hours every day this week. He got completely fried from working out in the sun all day and came home the first day really Dark. He has warn sun screen ever sense.
I have enjoyed visiting family this week. Mostly working around the house to get things done while my parents are at work. Sense January they have been working on getting my grandparents house ready to sell so I am proud to say that this week we got that last of their stuff out and have it stored in a shed for future use.
Zack and I have felt very blessed these last couple weeks. Everything has worked out great for us being about to come here and help. Earning the money we need for August, getting jobs at the restaurant, being able to visit friends and family here in Portland. All in all it has been a good trip. It has been hard however not seeing my husband all but an hour or two a day when we are both tired and just want to go to sleep. Sunday was nice though being able to rest and spend time together.

The trip home was long. We were both tired and just wanted to be home. We got in late Tuesday night August 3rd. It is great to be home. Thank you to all those that have helped us this last week. We love you and it was great to see all of you.
