4th of July

Our 4th of July weekend started off at the patriots and pioneers concert put on by the BYUI choir and orchestra. It was very well done. Idaho Falls seems to have a really big show each year so we made our way down there on the 3rd, because in Idaho everything closes on Sunday. It was nice though because we got to celebrate more days this year. The Tanners, DeRoests, and Turners joined us. We had the picture perfect location, well for the day anyway. If only we knew where the fire work show would be. Our view ended up being blocked by an awful tree in our way that we threatened to cut down. Never have we hated a tree so much. Next year we are going to have to try a different approach to have a good view and not be stuck in traffic for 2 hours on the way home.

On the 4th we watched the movie 1776 to remember our forefathers and then we went to the Turners house for fireworks because that is what our forefathers would have wanted. They had some pretty nice ones from Wyoming, aka illegal. They were great. From their house they have a great shot of the whole valley. We debated whether next year we should just watch the show from there. We will see what happens.
Happy Independence day everyone.
