You are probably wondering why I would be so excited about getting tile. The answer is simply that carpet does not belong in a bathroom or a kitchen. Need I say more.
This week was the grand project of ripping out the carpet and putting in the tile. John Tanner, our landlord / cousin who lives upstairs came down to start the job. He and Zack were able to move everything out of the bathroom and rip up the carpet, that now needs to be deposed of.

Jim Turner, our brother in law, came by to show the guys how to put the tile in. Needless to say they had to take out the toilet and sink to do the floors so we were without a toilet for a few days.

But because our toilet was having problems before, they bought us a new toilet too. It is like having a whole new bathroom. The rest of our apartment has been completely destroyed however. The kitchen will have to be another time but the bathroom is done.
