Table Rock (Mountain)

It was a Beautiful Hike, 14 miles round trip
About a mile into the hike
This picture was taken at the location we originally thought was the top. Little did we know we still had 2 more miles before we got to the top. We thought it was a joke when people told us it was still a ways off. We were humbled to say the least.
Zack's cousin Christian came on the hike with us.
The final destination was at the top of that thing. This was the last mile, and as you can tell it is all up hill and hard from here.
The view from the top. Pictures do not do it justice, and neither do the clouds. Those are the Tetons. The top elevation was 11,100 feet. It was really cold. The white you see in this picture is snow that never melted.

As steep as the climb up was in that last mile of the hike, NOTHING can compared to how difficult it was to climb down. We went a shorter way down the mountain. All of us had really sore knees at the end. It was really steep, and not well maintained. When we reached the bottom of the trail a sign read, "very difficult, not recommended". I only wish that sign was at the top so we knew what to expect.
 But we made it!

I'm proud of you for your endurance. Mt. Hood is 11,260 feet. That should be a breeze for your next adventure, but very cold. Make sure you are wearing spikes on your feet for the glacier.

No, actually mom Mt. hood is a much more difficult climb. The elevation may not be bad but a lot of people die on the trail. I will never do that one.
